Since I was pretty sick for a bit there, I wasn't sharing a lot with the 'world' or blogging.
But between all of the sickness, I was/am still pretty busy and I'm starting to get a bit better each day.
Any way, since the last time I blogged I started school! Surprise!
I've just completed my first full week, and am now starting my second.
I am in night school mostly, with one AM class that I couldn't change to an evening class, so I wake up early in the morning every day and run to school for one 50min class.
I feel like it's over by the time I get there and sit down.
This early morning class happens to be MATH. I mean, who doesn't want to wake up early in the morning and start their day off with a math lecture? (barf)
My schedule luckily isn't very crazy. I am home from class by 10am every day, then I have night classes only 2 nights a week.
on Tuesday and Thursday nights I am in class from 5:15pm to 10pm.
This works out great because I don't have to stick Hyrum in a daycare yet, and I am able to work, and answer calls and do what I have to do still. Then on Tuesday and Thursday nights I just pass the phone off to Ricky and he takes over everything at home and the complex.
Luckily, my music class doesn't require me to attend, and attendance doesn't count against me. So, if Ricky has to work late I don't have to stress about what I am going to do so I don't miss class, then once he does get home I can leave and attend my English class.
So far I haven't had to miss class yet and I really hope I don't ever have to.
People ask what I am going to school for, right now I'm just doing generals and don't have any kind of major picked out. So I'm just on a track for an AA degree.
Basically, I'm just going to school and getting an education for the heck of it, because I want to, and because it's free as long as I hold a 2.0! Geeze, they really set that bar high for me. 2.0 sounds crazy hard to pull off! (hear the sarcasm)
Plus, having an education and a degree to put on a resume' would look better if I were to ever have to go out and get a big job to support my family if something were to happen to Ricky.

Now, on to the next thing lots of you don't know yet. It's still something I keep debating on wether or not and when to share the news.
I approach the subject with caution. I try not to get excited about it because I'm afraid to get attached and then have something bad happen.
I've been a complete mess since the day I took the test and it came back positive. At around week 6 I had a crazy anxiety attack.
After the anxiety attack I got on my knees and started praying and begging and pleeding till my face turned blue. It helped me feel some-what better but I still had a lot of anxiety about everything.
Finally one day I decided to stop freaking out, and I actually prayed and appologized to my Heavenly Father for begging the way I had been to allow me to keep this baby, and in my appology I said that I needed to just trust in his plan for me and that I would accept whatever happened, happens, or doesn't happen.
I told him that I'd understand if It's not the time for another child and that I'd get through whatever it is I am dealt.
I've started feeling tons better since then and things are going pretty well so far.
I am now 10 weeks pregnant, and had my first ultrasound last week during my 9th week. Everything in the uterus looks great, the baby is the correct size for the dates and had a good strong heartbeat.
I haven't had any bleeding or unusual symptoms. I'm still cautious about getting excited.
I have another ultrasound in about 2 weeks and maybe I will be more excited after that but I have had close friends lose their babies around 16weeks recently and It's scary to think about or immagine.
It's possible I will be on edge and extra cautious until I start feeling the little person move around and kick and hear it's heart beat at the monthly appointments.
Hyrum is pretty excited about the baby growing in my belly. He calls it "sister." He will tell me "sister is sleeping in there, sister is happy"
Today he lifted up my shirt and tried to 'tickle' sister then he kissed my belly and said "MOM, I kissed the baby!!" with a big smile and excitment on his face. He likes to look at the pictures of the ultrasound and talk about the baby.
He came with me to my ultrasound appointment because daddy was working out of town.
I plan to make sure Hyrum is a part of as much of the pregnancy as appropriate. Obviously he wont be there at delivery but I will take him to all of the ultrasounds and check ups when they listen to the heartbeat each month.
Only three more weeks left of the first trimester. Things have been going by pretty fast. Just taking it one week at a time and trying to make good decisions for me and the growing baby.
I'm not able to eat much and food is grose all around.. I feel sick from not eating but food looks grose. I might finally have a craving for something but once it's in front of me, or if I cook, once I'm done cooking I no longer want to touch it..
I no I need to eat something and I am able to eat just not much, and whatever sounds like it wouldn't be horrible if it came back up.. One week all I had was chocolate pudding and TONs of Ginger Ale.
When eating, I am finished after about 2 or 3 bites. My doctor said she doesn't care if I am eating or keeping food down right now, it wont hurt the baby, I just need to drink drink drink and keep hydrated..
So, I try and drink as much as I can when I can, mostly sipping throughout the day.. The last two days I've been chowing down on a jar of sliced pickles!
I like how they are cold, juicy, and the sour taste. It's like a form of hydration for me. I make sure I scoop up tons of juice with the pickle when I pull it up to eat.
Any way, I will update once and a while on the pregnancy but probably not too often.

In this very last picture you can see the profile of the little face and it has it's arm up in the air in front of it's mouth. I like to think it's trying to suck it's thumb but at this point in growth it hardly has elbows to bend, and it's fingers are still developing and somewhat webbed.
The Ultrasound tech was surprised when the baby lifted it's arms during the ultrasound. She wasn't expecting to see much of any movement yet. So, it was pretty exciting to watch.
I kind of felt like it was saying "hey mom, I'm here and I'm ok right now."
I believe this sums up all that I needed to 'catch up' on for now!
I can't promise more frequent updates as I am now in school and still getting through this 'morning sickness' crazyness so this will have to do for now!
