Spoon Feeding

This is Hyrums first time spoon feeding himself. I've been waiting until I could find these bowls before I let him go for it. He did pretty well. He knew he was supposed to stick the spoon in the bowl, then into him mouth, and could get a few spoon fulls.. but as you can see, he got it a little mixed up a few times.

Happy Fathers Day.

I hope all of you Fathers out there had a great Fathers day.! We started off with going to church, then went out to Gig Harbor to celebrate and eat with the Simon family. Mike and Paula got to use their brand new kitchen.

After we left there Ricky took me on a tour of Gig Harbor, since I've only been out there one other time, and I've only been to the very first exit off of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.

I think I saw everything there is to see in Gig Harbor. We went down along the water front, and even out to Purdy. It was nice out there. I want to go back a day when we can walk around and stuff. Any way, It was a good day.! I hope everybody elses was great as well!

9 Months Old

Hyrum turned 9months old on June 6th. I can't believe how fast he is growing. Here are some 9month photos of my Baby boy. He's 22 1/2 lbs. and 29in long. He's going to be tall like his daddy, and I'm fine with that.

"How does this thing work.?"

"nope... thats not it."

"Hi mom.!"

Stuff your Face

Sleeping Boy

Hyrum likes to crawl in bed with me for an hour in the mornings until we start our day at 7:30am. This particular day he slept in until 9am! Lucky boy.. I decided to snap some shots.. I'm behind on blogging and I figured his MawMaw and PawPaw would like to see how he has grown. Hyrum is such a sweetie!!

Don't you just want to kiss his face.?

5 Mile Lake

About two weeks ago it was really hot out and Hyrum was being fussy, so we decided to take him swimming at 5mile Lake. This is his first time swimming in anything other than a bathtub and he absolutley loved it.

I didn't go swimming with them because I do not have a swimsuite yet. But, hopefully I will have one by the next time we decide to go.

Bath Slide

One day last week while Hyrum was playing in the bath, he kept trying and trying to pull himself up on the right side of the bathtub with the incline. He tried about 10 times until he finally made it up... Here is a video of a few of his attempts. He Loves bath time.!

Who knew..?

A few weekends ago, we had a little incident that I didn't believe could REALLY ever happen..

It was one of those things that I thought only happened in movies and television shows. Well, we were proven wrong.

For those who are easily grosed out, you might want to stop ready right about... now...

Well, I woke up on a Friday morning to get Hyrum out of bed so we could get the day going, and pack our bags to go on a little trip to Portland. When I opened the door, Hyrum got excited and started jumping around everywhere waiting for me to pick him up..

I walked through Hyrums bedroom, opened his blinds and turned to go to his crib to get him out and I stopped dead in my tracks and found my brain working a 100miles a minute trying to figure out 'Where to Start.'

Hyrum's Diapper was not put on properly the night before. Right about this point, you all can start using your immagination as to what I found..

Hyrum has started having his poopy diappers in the morning. With his diapper only covering 1 hiney cheek, the poo went everywhere. It was on his clothes, his arms, his forhead, his legs, sheets, blanket, AND on the Crib Railing..

I ran to get the wipes and a new diapper, returned and very carefully pulled Hyrum out of his bed, set him on the ground and started cleaning him up, too the diapper off and put him in the bath. After the bath I stripped his sheets, his blanket and got it ready to wash, then I got busy cleaning the crib railing..

Luckily, I had enough time to jump in and get a quick shower before Heather dropped off Tristan...

I can proudly say that I have cleaned up one of the worst messes I think a parent can ever experience.... but I'm still new at the mommy thing.. so, there might be a few more surprises for me in the future..
