Jessica won.! maybe i will pick up the slack next time and push my score up 2 points. haha.. Any who, here are a few pictures of our quick and fun game of bowling tonight.

Ricky and I between turns

Ruthanne Marie Brown

Our friend Naomi gave birth to her little girl yesterday Jan. 27th. She was born at 4:20am and weighed 6lbs 3oz. and was 18in. long... she is soooooo tiney. There is No way Hyrum was ever that tiney.. or at least I don't remember holding a baby that small, even when he shrunk down to 5lbs 14oz. Any way, she is a cutie. That head of dark hair will become blond as she grows. hmm... when is our next.!? haha. possibly a year from now or so.. so don't freak out just yet everybody...

!.Gnocchi.!

This is me and Sylvia (true Italian, first generation American)

The making of Gnocchi

The finished Product (!YUM!)

As you can see, me, Ricky and Hyrum went over to Sylvias house Sunday evening and she gave me an Italian cooking lesson on how to make homemade, super delicious, Gnocchi.! The pasta sauce was made with italian sausages, fresh herbs; basil, parsley, rosemary, thyme, and a little oregano. Then you layer it in the dish and top it off with parmesian cheese. We also had some delicious garlic bread, and there was a salad. I can't wait for my next cooking lesson. We will possibly be doing homemade pizza, or I might get to learn how to make, roll and cut homemade pasta noodles. That will be fun. and I LOVE pizza. Thanks Sylvia. Italian is my favorite food, then mexican and seafood.

Saturday

Saturday ended up being a pretty fun/full day also. We got up, got ready for the day then went to Ivar's and got a bread bowl with clam chowder, my very first experience, and first time trying clam chowder, and boy was it good.. I typically go to these seafood places and order the chicken strips (what can i say, i LOVE chicken) Well I wanted to try the bread bowl this time, and I did.. and I'm glad I did. I'm proud of myself for trying something new, although I did think about those yummy chicken strips a time or two.. Any way, after lunch we went to HallMark to get a birthday card for our friend Maureens 39th birthday, and looked around in there for a little while, then we went to Target. We are regulars at Target. Hyrum and I went to Target 5times this week!! 2 of those times being with Ricky, the other three times were just for fun because we really like our Targets baby section. When we were at Target we picked up a couple of picture frames for Mary, really really good friend of ours, she is the wife of the man Hyrum is named after. Any way, we framed a couple picture of Hyrum for her, then we grabbed another can of formula for the heck of it, even though we have recently in the last week baught 3cans. Hyrum is starting to go through about a can and a half a week, so if theres extra money, we go ahead and try to keep it all stocked up for the next few weeks. After Target, we came home for about an hour, then headed out to Burien for Maureens birthday party. We had a good time with everybody there and got to see more friends. While we were there it became very apparent that Hyrum knows who his mommy and daddy are. He was passed around from person to person, and when he caught a glimpse of us he would smile or start wiggling around, or we would look up and see him looking at whoever may have been holding him, and have a pouting lip that looked so cute yet so sad.. haha. by the end of the night he was fine and use to being passed around and was happy with anybody he was passed to. He's such a good and happy boy.!! Any way, on another note. Hyrum wanted to squeeze in a nap between things, and he didn't want to fall asleep in his bed or anywhere else, until finally he picked the below napping spot and position... on mommy and daddys bed, with mommys teddy bear partly over his face.... weirdo. but, that's my boy.!! he's so cute.

Nap Time (this is the only way he would take his nap)

Friday Night

Dave F.

Bobcat Bob
So, Friday night we hung out with our friends Ryan and Jessica and went down to Alki and ate ate Spuds, then went to C&P (a coffee shop) to watch BobCat Bob and his band play. They were supposed to have a guest singer that night, but on her way, a family emergency came up in the household where she lives. But it was still a good show. Above on the guitar is Bobcat Bob and on bass is Dave F. the girls in the picture below I honestly don't know their names, they were just there for the special show. It is typically all men. But they had great voices. We use to go see them play a lot when i was pregnant. Ricky and Ryan work with Dave at Delta Marine, so we go and support. Plus it's fun music to sit around and drink hot chocolate to and meet other people. The first time I went it made me think of...... Sagebrush.!! yep, dad, uncle Mike and Chris (brother Gould). I was hoping to take uncle Mike to see them when he was in town this summer for work but, they were not performing that weekend. maybe next time. Hyrum seemed to have fun there, but there was know way he was going to miss nap time, so he took his little nap during part of the show, then got up for the ending. He sure does like to follow his schedule, and I am totally fine with that. Any way, this band does record and make cd's, surprisingly I do not own any of them yet, but I plan to in the near future. They play at C&P once or twice a month for drinks and tips. If you live near Seattle, or are even in town when they are playing, you should stop in and check them out. It's free, and you can come and go as you please. They typically play from 6pm-8pm.

This is Hyrum watching everybody eat yummy food at Spuds.!

Grandmothers

MawMaw (mom), Hyrum, Great Grandma Virgiline Baugh

Great Granny Maxine Milligan and Hyrum

Over the Christmas holidays Hyrum not only got to see his MawMaw and meet his PawPaw for the first time, but he was also able to meet his 2 Great Grandmothers. Granny (dad's mom) came over to the house the very next day after Hyrum and I finally arrived in Texas so she could see him. Then on Christmas Eve he was able to meet his Grandma Baugh (mom's mom) along with other aunts and uncles on moms side. Christmas day he was able to meet aunt's, uncle's and cousins on the Milligan side (dad's side) and Granny got to enjoy more kisses and time with Hyrum. I know they were all excited, but there are still many, many more family members who have yet to see him in person.

Nap Time

My Boys love their sleep. If Hyrum isn't down for his late afternoon nap by the time Ricky gets home from work and cleaned up or on a Sunday after church, they get comfy on the overly sized, huge 2 person chair and take a nap together. I always think it's cute and like to take a picture of the moment.

Something New

Last week i decided to pull out a recipe book and try something new. So, I searched through this book and finally decided on what to make; Italian Stuffed Shells.! We picked up the ingrediants that the recipe called for when we went grocery shopping Friday night. Saturday we had our friends Ryan and Jessica over to try out this yummy dish with us. I was nervous that it may not taste good because it was my first time making it, but we had backup options incase something went wrong. It is a pretty simple dish to make that is made up of jumbo shells, shredded mozzarella, ground beef and or spinich (we are going to try spicy italian sausage next time) spaghetti sauce, basil, ricotta cheese, shredded parmesan cheese, 10 garlic cloves and oregano. We completed the dish with a ceasar salad, and garlic bread. For those of you that have this recipe book, it is on page 33 submitted by Marcia Parsley. If you don't have this book and would like the recipe, just ask and I'd be glad to send it your way. (sorry if the picture doesn't look appatizing, ricky started dishing it out before I could capture the finished product)

Cereal

Hyrum successfuly ate his very first bowl of cereal! he seemed to enjoy it. We have tried it a couple of times, but we finally cought him at the right time, and he ate it just fine. So, we now have a new thing to add to our schedule. It's fun, and exciting. He's growing so fast.!

He has to make sure it all goes into his mouth.

Yum

So, today was my dads 47th Birthday, and to celebrate we baked a yummy cake to eat after dinner and enjoy in honor of his birthday.. (plus it was a great excuse to get cake!) Any way, here is your cake dad, it sure was good.!! Happy Birthday again.

!.YUM.!

!.Cousins.!

For Christmas we had "grandkid" (cousin) pictures made for MawMaw and PawPaw. Sorry they aren't very clear but here they are for everyone to check out!! They are a bunch of cuties.! Aeden and Hyrum had the most fun taking the pics. Once Maeli saw the horsey, she was through with everything else and was focused on nothing but the horsey, which is why we ended up getting a picture with just Aeden and Hyrum. My little Aeden is starting to get so big, and looks to old for his age holding my little Hyrum for the pictures.!! stop growing kiddos.!! stay little.!! 'sigh'

Maeli Elizbeth, Aeden Kyler, Hyrum Jerrold

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday PawPaw/Dad.!! We Love you and miss ya! Have a great Birthday down there in Texas and make sure mom takes you on a hot date to eat some yummy food, on her penny of course. We will eat something special today in honor of your birthday since we arent there to celebrate with you. Have Fun.! (maybe we will even eat a cake.. ;) )

Famous

He even takes requests.!

Hyrum is quite the musician. He has great taste in music and has already mastered the piano at just 4months of age. Currently, he only does private performances for mommy and daddy. He's rather modest about all of his fun and new skills he's learning each day, but he has mom and dad to do all of the bragging. Thanks again to MawMaw for the awesome piano.!

I know, I know

So, Hyrum absolutly loves the Galloping Jumperoo. So much that I can't help but recored just about every experience. He's so funny when he gets in the saddle. He makes all kinds of faces and trys jumping uncontrollably. Any way, I felt like sharing another clip of him enjoying his jumper. This one is mostly laughing and giggling, i havent yet captured his concentrated look on his face and his out of controll legs.. (what you don't know, is that I am really dancing and jumping around for him in the background...)

Hyrum and the Galloping Jumperoo

For Christmas MawMaw got Hyrum a cute horsey bouncer called the galloping jumperoo. This is his first time in it. Daddy put the harnis in wrong, and we werent sure that you could adjust the height of it, so with his first experience he looks like he's being swallowed by it, and well as having his feet dangle up in the air off of the ground.. but he had a lot of fun.!!

!!.PJ'S.!!

So, over the Christmas Holiday, Hyrum recieved several new pairs of pajamas and I think they are really cute. Each time he wears a new outfit I have taken a picture so I can show them off for him. He's so cute. Don't you wish you could crawl into a comfy set of jammies like these.?

Getting Started

Hey there, I've been wanting to get one of these started for a while, but haven't had the chance to sit down and figure it out yet. I have a few moments now that Hyrum is asleep for the night, and Ricky is working his late job tonight and wont be home until after 2am. So, here it is. I'm excited to get started in the blogging world. Lots of events have taken place recently, so I will probably post a few blogs later on, rather than one huge one. For now, I am going to hop in bed and watch some more of my House seasons and wait for Ricky to get home.. most likely, I will fall asleep waiting for him. So, Good night for now.!
