Deception Pass

On our way back to get Hyrum and go home from my state exam, we took a diffrent rout home. We took Deception pass, over the Whidbey Island, then took the Ferry to Port Townsend, then drove down into Gig Harbor.

It was a very pretty drive, I loved it, but I was afraid it was taking way to long for us to get back to pick up Hyrum.. Not that I was afriad or worried about him, because I know he was in the best care with Heather, Charles and Abigail.. but I was afraid he was going to drive them crazy.. haha. Of all things to worry about, I was afraid he was going to give them a run for their money or keep them awak all night. but everything turned ou well.

If this were a trip with no time limits I would have taken more pics and made more stops. I'm not the best photographer in the world, and wish I could have captured the beauty. But these will have to do for now until we go back that way.

This is Deception Pass. Before this bridge was put up, you would have to try and cross the water by boat, or drive a couple of hours around to the Ferry to get to the Island.

These waters are part of the Puget Sound. You can not swim in the water at this point, or boat in the area in Deception Pass because it is very dangerous. The water doesn't flow straight, it flows in a hundred diffrent swirls. I have video of the water flow at the bottom of this blog.

This pictures are taken from down at Deception Pass park. You can do camping and things here. It's a really big park, and extremely pretty. This is the beach area of the park.

I dont remember which Islands these are..

This is not the best picture of us at all... We had been up since 4:30am and I had just finished my state exams.. so, i didn't bother to even try and 'fix' my hair..

'where is the end.'?

Preperation

For preperation for my State Exam, I set up a pretend hospital room in Hyrums bedroom and dug up some 'fake' supplies around the house to use.

I practiced skills on Ricky, and made an occupied bed with Katrina in it. I freaked out more than i should have.. everything about the test was easy, and I wasn't even nervous or anything during either of the tests.

Well, I passed! I can now work as a Certified Nursing Assistant. I can start applying but can't actually work in the field until my certificate turns 'active' in the state registries.

p.s. the comforter for this bed is double it's size... in real life the blanket wouldn't be touching the floor.

Sunday Stroll

Sunday we went for a walk at the West Hylebos wet lands. It was my first time going there. It's nice, pretty to walk through, and is a fun 2mile walk.

Here are some pics of our walk. Hyrum insisted on getting out and pushing his empty stroller himself. Therefore he was exhausted and fell asleep in the short 4minute drive home.

My handsom boy!

Just ignore Ricky's behind.... unless you like it.... then I guess you can look as much as youd like.. otherwise just focus on Hyrum. ;)

The Hat.!

Finally!! I finally got pictures of Hyrum wearing his cowboy hat! for some reason, as soon as he wakes up, weather it be in the morning or from a nap... if he sees the hat in site he points at it and grunts.... 'meaning' "I want that mom."

So I grab it for him and put it on his head and he wears it around all morning. As soon as I get the camera out to take a picture, he throws the hat off.. this morning I was able to snap a few shots before the hat landed in his lap. He's so cute.

Thank you Marianne for the awesome, cute cowboy hat!

Hear's a Laugh

We kept Hyrum up a bit past his bedtime last night because I was going to practice some of my Skills on the single bed in his room for my state exam at the end of the month.

He became a bit delirious and found it quite funny when Katrina would hit herself in the head with a balloon.
