March 21st

On March 21st, 2009 at 8pm in the Seattle, Washington Temple, Our family, The Leisers, was sealed together for time and all eternity.! It was a great and special day. A day we will always remember.

Before the special even took place, we were able to have some pictures taken by Mo.

It was a cloudy rainy day and I was afraid we werent going to be able to have pictures taken, but with our recent luck, the rain stopped for an hour during our set aside time for pictures, and we were able to have some taken.

As soon as the last shot was taken it started drizzling, then by the time we loaded back up into the car to head to dairy queen for a bite to eat before heading into the temple, it was pouring down rain.

Here are a few pictures of our Special Day.!

Gas Works Park

On Saturday we went downtown to introduce our friend Julie to Dicks burgers, and frys. Then we went to Trophys and got some of the the worlds greatest cupcakes ever, there are definitly worth $4 a piece. Any way, after that we went over to Gas Works Park. I have never been there before, and we were close by, so Ricky decided to stop by. They have one of the best views of Seattle from this park. and the park is really pretty. I attempted to capture it for everybody, but the pictures dont do it justice.

A Brief description of Gas Works Park
- This 20 acre point on Lake Union was cleared in 1906 to construct a plant to manufacture gas from coal - later converted to crude oil. Import of natural gas in the 1950's made the plant obsolete. The city acquired the site for a park in 1962. The park was opened to the public in 1975. The boiler house has been converted to a picnic shelter with tables, fire grills and an open area. The former exhauster-compressor building, now a children's play barn, features a maze of brightly painted machinery.

This link bellow will take you to the wikipedia page wher you can see more pictures, and read up on the early history of the plant and the present day park. Check it out if your like. The park is really neet to visit.

Fun at the Park (revised)

We have had some nice afternoons the last few days so we have been taking Hyrum to play at the park. He loves swinging, and it's nice to get out in the sun, though it is still cold. Here are some pictures of yesterday's park adventure.

Over the Past 7months

I decided that I would do one of those month to month blogs of Hyrum, to show you how much he has grown.

He is really getting around these days. He has started army crawling, he prefers to eat his "real food" instead of bottles. So far he isn't too picky as far as prefering fruites over veggies. He eats both equaly, which is good.

He has no teeth yet but it apparently teething, and very fussy.

He has an extremely contagous smile. There is no way a frown will be around, if you have a happy Hyrum. All you have to do is look at him and he smiles and get's all wiggly.

Hyrum Loves to swing on the swings at the park! It's just too bad that the weather isn't so nice all of the time. It's still cold and it's mid April.

Hyrum absolutly, and totally LOVES being naked, and really enjoys taking baths. It will calm him down every time. (until you take him out if he's having a bad day)

Our little boy has spoiled Ricky and I as far as becomming new parents. My whole pregnancy was great. I believe I had one of the most ideal pregnancys a woman can have. The kind you dream about. I had no complications, no morning sickness, no braxton hicks contractions.. AND a BIG plus, I wasn't one of those who "went over their due date" being my first pregnancy. Hyrum actually came out 15days early, but it worked out well because if he came any later than that, MawMaw wouldn't have been able to fly out due to the Hurricane. Labor and Delivery was great too.. no complications, only had to deal with contractions for 1hr until I got an epidural, and I had a good recovery.

Hyrum slept through the night since he was a month old (YEAH!) and was never a very fussy baby. He has always had a really good temperment, until he starts teething, but even then, he's not unbarable to be with.

When Hyrum wakes up in the morning he doesn't scream and cry for you to come and get him, he actually waits patiently and coos, talks, and sit's there until you walk through the door, he greats you with a smile, and starts squirming with excitment! (good way to start your morning, a big smile from Hyrum!)

Well, that's that for now. Nap time is over so it's time to play with the little one and feed him some lunch.!

Reading

Last week Hyrum put up a fight while I was trying to change his diapper, and wouldn't allow me to put a clean one back on. So, I decided to let him run free for a few minutes and decided I would play with my camera. Bellow is a video of Hyrum reading a book to me. He sure does love this book (because he can chew on it.)

(who's in there?)

( you're still taking pictures?)
